My Camelback Trip

Before going to Camelback, I stayed at a place called Comfort Suites Dubois Country Club. I liked it better than the place I stayed at after I left Camelback. It was a Best Western Hotel. The Best Western Hotel didn’t have an elevator or a pool and I arrived late in the day at both hotels.

I arrived at a place called Camelback Resort in Tannersville, Pennsylvania on November 2nd. It was at least three hours for me to get all the way to Camelback from a town called Dubois. Camelback is known for its indoor water park and outdoor water park. I was given a wristband to wear so I could have access to the indoor water park and purchase things while I was there. The room I was given had a living room with a couch that had a pull out mattress, two chairs in front of the couch, a bathroom, a round table with four chairs, a television, a fridge, a safe, and a microwave. The bedroom had its own television and a bathroom. After checking in and bringing my car up to the parking lot in front of the lobby, I went for a little tour of the place and found the arcade mentioned on the resort’s website. I also found the marketplace and the indoor water park. After getting settled into my room, I decided to go the indoor water park that was closing in about two hours. I went into the wave pool just to get started. Soon after, I went on a water slide that had riders go down in tubes, then I tried to go down a slide called the Venis flytrap but I needed two more people to go down. After that, I went to a hot tub that went inside and outside. To finish the night, I rode on the lazy river. The main thing that happened to me back in my room was the bedroom television remote not working. I had to call the front desk and they soon gave me a new remote for the television and I was finally able to turn off the television.

On November 3rd, I went outside the resort for a thirty minute walk to start the day. During the walk, I discovered that the mountain coaster there was opening up. Therefore, I decided to take a ride on that and finish the walk afterwards. I had about a minute left on my walk anyway. Soon after all of that, I left Camelback to spend the day at the Great Wolf Lodge. I stopped by a restaurant on the way there for lunch. I had salmon, mashed potatoes, and a salad. I enjoyed the water rides I went on which were the ones that involved tubes. I didn’t go on any of the rides where I would go on my back. I also went into the wave pool, the lazy river, and a hot tub there. Before I left the Great Wolf Lodge, I had at least two tacos for dinner and I bought at least two T-shirts.

The Tuesday I was at Camelback, I went to the Kalahari Resort for the day. When I arrived, I first decided to take a thirty minute walk inside and outside the resort. Kalahari had an ice cream place, a few restaurants, an arcade, and of course its indoor water park. As far as the water slides go, I went on the all but one of the slides involving tubes. One water slide that stood out to me was the one with the bowl that had a ceiling on it. I went on that one last. I also went into the hot tub, the wave pool, and the lazy river. I ate my lunch and dinner at Kalahari. I bought a silicone cup and two T-shirts there. Before I left, I realized that I didn’t have my sunglasses with me in my car. Therefore, I went back in to search for them. Before too long, I was able to find them on an armrest of a chair I was sitting in. I was able to call off the lost and found search then and I was then on my way back to Camelback.

On November 5th, I spent the entire day at Camelback. I spent much of the morning and some of the afternoon at the indoor water park. In the middle of the afternoon, I went on the zip line. It was just one ride down to where I got the equipment from. I soon returned to the water park and went on the slides that had tubes. I just couldn’t bring myself to go down the ones on my back the entire trip. I tried sitting at a bar where I would sit in water. I didn’t really like that much because they kept me waiting too long to order something to drink. Wednesday was also the day I explored the arcade at Camelback. The prizes were things that either I had long outgrown or just things that I couldn’t really give away to relatives or friends so I didn’t stay at the arcade for very long.

The last day for me at Camelback was on November 6th. I woke up pretty late and had to drive to a spa to get a massage that I scheduled the previous day. This spa wasn’t at Camelback but I was told about it. Therefore, I got the massage there and I thought it was a good one. I also had lunch at the same restaurant that I stopped at on Monday. I got the same mashed potatoes, salmon, and salad. At Camelback’s indoor water park, I tried the flow rider. I hadn’t done that since 2009. I spent a lot of my time at the water parks in their wave pools. I also had dinner at a restaurant there at Camelback. I had to walk all the way down the hall and into the last elevator for guests just to get there. I had steak to eat at this restaurant.
